Two More Imo State Federal Lawmakers Jump Ship
The seemingly continuous switching of political parties continues in Imo State as two federal lawmakers, Hon. Kingsley Uju (below) representing Oguta/Ohaji Egbema Federal Constituency, and Paschal Obi, representing Ideato North/South Federal Constituency, have quit the Action Alliance, AA for the APC

The defections are as a result of the alliance between former Governor Rochas Okorocha and Governor Hope Uzodinma.
The duo had made the decision after the Supreme Court declared Uzodinma as Governor of Imo State.
The defection of Hon.Uju and Hon. Paschal Obi (below) was contained in a letter read on the floor of the House by the Speaker, Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila.
Both Okorocha and Uzodinma were present at the floor of the House to witness the defection of the two members during plenary on Thursday
The House minority leader, Ndudi Elumelu, tried to challenge the defection of the two House members was rejected by the Speaker. Elumelu citing section 68 of the 1999 Constitution as amended then called for the seats of the lawmakers to be declared vacant which again was denied.
As the Awareness recently, nine members of the State House of Assembly of the PDP including the Speaker decamped to the APC.
