The outspoken political observer urged the Supreme Court to “bring back the man Imo people voted for”
The protest organized by Imo Concerned Citizens in Owerri called for a review and reversal of the Supreme Court Judgement that sacked Ihedioha from office and appointed Senator Hope Uzodinma as the duly elected Governor of the State.
According to Charly Boy whose late father Justice Chukwudifu Oputa was a revered Supreme Court Judge who ironically also led a precedent in the Supreme Court when it reversed a previous judgment and gave this now-famous quote:
We are final not because we are infallible, rather we are infallible because we are final.
Charly Boy further shared that:
" There is so much injustice in Nigeria. I know that part of government’s job is to protect citizens but what we see is systematic endemic injustice and we will stand together to fight it wherever we see it”
He said Ihedioha helped to put Imo State on the right track and that the Supreme Court should immediately restore the choice of the people.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, he said his father told him to always speak against injustice and this is what he was doing.
