Black Stars Friendly Cancelled, Eagles Now Hoping To Secure The Squirrels
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will no longer clash with Ghana’s Black Stars in a friendly at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has revealed that the Gernot Rohr tutored-side, will face Senegal’s Teranga Lions in Egypt before the commencement of hostilities of the AFCON 2019.
"Our team will face Senegal in Egypt before the start of the Nations Cup tournament," noted NFF's general secretary Mohammed Sanusi, who also hinted that plans are underway to play the Benin Republic as a replacement for Ghana

Interestingly, Rohr was reportedly looking forward to facing two serious AFCON contenders, Senegal, and Ghana ahead of the tournament in Egypt.
Nigeria are in Group B alongside Guinea and debutants Madagascar and Burundi.
