Ahmed Musa Leaves Saudia Arabia And Al Nassr For Mystery Team
Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr have officially confirmed Ahmed Musa’s departure from the club.
The 28-year-old leaves the Najd’s Knight after a two year spell with the eight-time Saudi Professional League champions
The Super Eagle is now a free agent and is reported to have parted ways with the club mutually as he hopes to continue with his professional career in Europe.
In a post on Twitter the Najd’s Knights confirmed the Nigerian's exit while wishing him the very best.
The Nigeria international joined the Asian outfit on a four-year contract from Leicester City after they beat several European clubs to the capture of the ex-Kano Pillars man.
In 58 appearances, he scored 11 goals and got 14 assists while helping the team win the 2018-19 Saudi topflight diadem and the 2019 Saudi Super Cup. He just recently surpassed John Obi Mikel as the third most-capped Super Eagles player having featured in the international friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia, and in the process got his 93rd Nigeria cap.
Many pundits already believe that Musa has signed with his new team and that an announcement will be made shortly. It will be interesting to see where he goes
but regardless of where he ends up, the defenders there better sit up straight.
