Lagos Celebrates Deployment Of Nkwerre-Born Army Chief Umelo As GOC 81 Division
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu had received in his office the Nkwerre-born Army Chief, Major-General Umelo Godwin who was recently deployed to Lagos State.
Recall that last month, (July), the Nigerian Army deployed Major-General Godwin Umelo to Lagos state as the new GOC, Headquarter 81 Division of the Nigerian Army.
The state government had received the news of the deployment with joy that on Thursday, August 6th, 2020, the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu officially received and welcomed the Nkwerre illustrious son Major-General Godwin Umelo at the government house Marina

The elated Governor, took to his twitter handle to disclose their official meeting. The governor assured Major-General Umelo that his administration will work with him in every capacity, to guarantee utmost security for investors, visitors, citizens and everyone living in Lagos state.
Meanwhile, the state Governor went further to state through his tweet that his administration will also work with all the security agencies in order to keep Lagos and Lagosians safe.
