Uzodinma Launches Ground Breaking Ceremony For Reconstruction Of Eke Ukwu Owerri Market, Promises It Will Be Ready In 18 Months
Barely a week ago the Awareness reported that the Imo State Government was working behind the scenes on starting the reconstruction of the demolished Eke Ukwu Owerri market.
Yesterday it became a reality when Governor Uzodinma met with leaders, stakeholders, chiefs, community leaders and women groups in Owerri at the premises of the market, where he reeled out plans to reconstruct it to the admiration of the delighted indigenes of Owerri.
At the ground breaking ceremony to kick start the reconstruction of the market, the Governor said the Eke Ukwu market, Owerri will be rebuilt in 18 Months by a slew of modern engineers including the Amanda group.
According to him, the new look market will have a fire service station, a Police post, a warehouse, lock up shops, and other facilities.
The market was demolished in 2017 by the Rochas Okorocha administration.
