Uzodinma Drops The Bomb In Owerri: Shows Heartland FC's Board The Door And Gives 48-hour Ultimatum For The Return Of All Club Property
Governor Hope Uzodinma has ordered the immediate dissolution of the board of the Heartland Football Club of Owerri.
The team, as well as the Heartland Queens, are state-owned.
Chike Ogu the Sports Commissioner in the Sate conveyed that Governor's directive through a letter addressed to the Godson Onyemaobi-led acting management of the club. It further commanded for the return all club property in their possession within the next 48 hours

The letter reads in part:
"You may wish to recall that Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo State, has announced the dissolution of the governing board and management teams of the state-owned parastatals shortly after he assumed office.
“It has been observed that the management team of Heartland with you at the helm has not complied with his Excellency ‘s directive
“In the light of the foregoing, I have been directed to request (that) you and other members of the club’s management handover notes as well as all the club’s properties in your possession to the undersigned.
“This should be accomplished no later than 48 hours from the receipt of this letter.
“Kindly convey this to other members of the management and also ensure strict compliance and be properly guided.”
