Eze Sam Ohiri And Eze Sam Okeke On The Cusp Of A Tussle For Control Of Imo State's Traditional Rulers
If the rumours swirling around Owerri the Imo State capital, are anything to go by then the days of Eze Sam Ohiri (below) as the Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers may be numbered.
Governor Hope Uzodinma had recently appointed Eze Sam Okeke (below), as Chairman Traditional Institution and Community Policing.
The Imo State House of Assembly last week passed a law which gave powers to Governor Hope Uzodinma to appoint officials of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers.
This was said to have irked the number one traditional ruler in the state and could possibly divide the Council of Traditional Rulers, in the State which Ohiri heads, as most of the traditional rulers in the State may switch allegiance to Eze Okeke.
In any case His Royal Majesty Eze Dr E.C Okeke,(JP)
Chairman IMO council of traditional institution and Chairman Community policing
is forging ahead in his new role and inaugurated
27 L.G.A traditional rulers, at Obi IMO
