House Of Representative Launches Independent Investigation Of Nigeria Bulk Electricity Company's MD Marilyn Amobi
The House of Representative has commenced an investigation into the various corruption allegations directed at Marilyn Amobi, the Managing Director, Nigeria Bulk Electricity Company (NBET).
This comes after weeks of repeated postponements of the hearing. The hearing was to hold on 5th May but was postponed for one week. However, on the 12th though the motion was again raised it was not discussed

It now has, and the House of Representatives has directed its committees on Anti-corruption, power and financial crimes to probe the firm going all the way back to 2015 till 2020.
Even though other anti-corruption agencies such as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Independent and Other Related Offences Commission and Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation had earlier investigated the agency, the Committees will launch their own investigation of the matter and report to the House within two weeks for further deliberation and actions.
