Imo State released three patients yesterday being treated for COVID-19.
This means that all seven patients have now been cured and sent home, and the State joins Kogi and Cross River as being the only three states in the nation that do not host the coronavirus.
The announcement was made by Professor Maurice Iwu who leads the state's task force on the fight against COVID-19 earlier today.
While the NCDC has yet to make any announcements itself regarding this fantastic development, all Imolite eyes and ears will now be on NCDC's update during the daily PTF briefing on the pandemic this evening.
In the mean time, congratulations to Imo State and its health workers.
