Abductors Of NPFL Players Kidnapped In Ondo Insist On N20m Ransom
The kidnappers of Dayo Ojo of Enyimba FC (below) and Benjamin Iluyomade of Abia Comets FC, have demanded N20 million for the release of the two NPFL players.
Ojo and Iluyomade were kidnapped on Sunday at Ipele in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State on their way to Akure as the teams had gone on vacation due to COVID-19 break.
Both Ojo and Iluyomade (below) were former players of the Sunshine Stars FC of Akure

A third player escaped.
A source close to the unfolding incident said the kidnappers had made contact on Sunday to demand of N100 million initially but reduced the sum to N20 million yesterday.
The Public Relations Officer, Ondo State Police Command, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, who confirmed the incident, said the police were already on the trail of the hoodlums.
Ikoro claimed that a third player Emmanuel James of Enyimba who managed to escape has since been rescued by officers of the command.
